Jacques Borsarello was born on May 15, 1965, in Marseille, France. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a violinist and his mother a pianist. At the age of six, Jacques began playing the violin and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Jacques received his formal musical education at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned violinists such as Jean-Jacques Kantorow and Gérard Poulet.
