Jacques Borsarello was born on May 15, 1965, in Marseille, France. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a violinist and his mother a pianist. At the age of six, Jacques began playing the violin and quickly showed a natural talent for the instrument. Jacques received his formal musical education at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned violinists such as Jean-Jacques Kantorow and Gérard Poulet. He graduated with top honors and went on to win several prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix du Concours International de Violon de Paris and the Prix de la Fondation de la Vocation. In 1988, Jacques made his debut as a soloist with the Orchestre National de France, performing the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch. The performance was met with critical acclaim, and Jacques quickly established himself as one of the most promising young violinists of his generation. Over the years, Jacques has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with many of the world's leading conductors, such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, and Riccardo Muti. One of Jacques' most memorable performances was his rendition of the Violin Concerto by Johannes Brahms with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1995. The performance was recorded and released on CD, and it quickly became a best-seller, earning Jacques widespread recognition and critical acclaim. In addition to his work as a soloist, Jacques is also an accomplished chamber musician. He has performed with many of the world's leading chamber ensembles, including the Emerson String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. He is also a founding member of the Trio Wanderer, a highly acclaimed piano trio that has won numerous awards and accolades. Throughout his career, Jacques has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to classical music. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, one of France's highest cultural honors. He has also been awarded the Prix de la Critique Musicale and the Diapason d'Or, two of the most prestigious awards in the classical music world. Despite his many accomplishments, Jacques remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He continues to perform regularly and is committed to sharing his love of music with audiences around the world.
