He later studied at the Rubin Academy of Music in Jerusalem, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Composition and Conducting. Brener's early compositions were influenced by the works of classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. He was also inspired by the music of contemporary composers such as Philip Glass and Steve Reich. Brener's music is characterized by its use of repetitive patterns and minimalist techniques. One of Brener's early works, "Three Pieces for Piano," was composed when he was just 18 years old. The piece showcases Brener's talent for creating intricate and complex melodies. Another notable work from this period is "String Quartet No. 1," which was composed when Brener was 21 years old. The piece is a tribute to the classical string quartet form and features intricate harmonies and complex rhythms. Brener's music began to gain recognition in the early 2000s, with performances of his works taking place in Israel and Europe. In 2003, he was awarded the Prime Minister's Prize for Composition, which is one of the highest honors for Israeli composers. One of Brener's most notable works is "Concerto for Piano and Orchestra," which was composed in 2005.
