Born in 1957 in London, England, Angus grew up in a family that was passionate about music. His father was a professional violinist, and his mother was a music teacher. From a young age, Angus was exposed to a wide range of musical genres, and he quickly developed a love for classical music. Angus began his musical education at the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied conducting and piano. He later went on to study at the University of Cambridge, where he earned a degree in music.
