Roth's musical journey began when he enrolled in the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. He studied under the guidance of some of the most prominent music teachers of the time, including Rosina Lhevinne and Adele Marcus. Roth's dedication and hard work paid off, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1967. After completing his studies, Roth began his career as a concert pianist. In 1970, he made his debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York City, which was a significant milestone in his career. He also collaborated with many famous conductors, such as Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta, and Seiji Ozawa.
