The Kopelman Quartet is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences around the world for over two decades. The quartet was founded in 2002 by four accomplished musicians, all of whom had previously played with the Moscow String Quartet. The founding members of the Kopelman Quartet are Mikhail Kopelman (violin), Boris Kuschnir (violin), Igor Sulyga (viola), and Mikhail Milman (cello). Mikhail Kopelman, the quartet's first violinist, is a highly respected musician who has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. Boris Kuschnir, the quartet's second violinist, is also a renowned musician who has won numerous awards for his performances, including the Grand Prix at the International Violin Competition in Sion, Switzerland. Igor Sulyga, the quartet's violist, has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Mikhail Milman, the quartet's cellist, is a highly respected musician who has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. The Kopelman Quartet has performed at some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Carnegie Hall in New York. The quartet has also performed at many of the world's leading music festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, the Edinburgh Festival, and the BBC Proms. One of the highlights of the Kopelman Quartet's career was their performance of Beethoven's complete string quartets at the Wigmore Hall in London. The quartet performed all 16 of Beethoven's string quartets over the course of eight concerts, which were widely praised by critics and audiences alike. The quartet has also recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Shostakovich's complete string quartets.
