Paulino da Costa is a Brazilian percussionist and composer who has made a significant contribution to the world of classical music. Born on May 31, 1948, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, da Costa grew up in a musical family and was exposed to various genres of music from a young age. His father was a guitarist, and his mother was a singer, and they encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Da Costa started playing percussion instruments at the age of nine and quickly developed a love for the rhythms and beats of Brazilian music.
