Roberto's musical journey began when he enrolled at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella in Naples, where he studied piano under the guidance of Professor Antonio Di Cristofano. He participated in several music competitions and won numerous awards, including the first prize at the International Piano Competition "Città di Barletta" in 2005 and the first prize at the International Piano Competition "Città di Marsala" in 2006. Roberto's talent and dedication caught the attention of renowned pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, who invited him to participate in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in 2007. The orchestra, founded by Barenboim and the late Palestinian intellectual Edward Said, brings together young musicians from Israel, Palestine, and other Arab countries to promote peace and understanding through music. Roberto's participation in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra was a turning point in his career. He had the opportunity to work with some of the world's most talented musicians and perform in some of the most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Berlin Philharmonic. In 2008, Roberto was invited to perform at the prestigious La Scala Theatre in Milan, one of the world's most renowned opera houses. He performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, K. 488, with the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Riccardo Chailly. The performance was a huge success, and Roberto received a standing ovation from the audience. Roberto's success continued to grow, and he was invited to perform at several other prestigious venues, including the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. He also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned conductors, including Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, and Claudio Abbado. In 2010, Roberto released his debut album, "Roberto de Caro Plays Chopin," which received critical acclaim and was praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth.
