Tex Sax is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1990 by a group of talented musicians who shared a passion for saxophone music. The ensemble is based in Texas, USA, and has gained a reputation for its unique sound and innovative approach to classical music. The founding members of Tex Sax were all graduates of the University of North Texas, which is known for its prestigious music program. The original members of the ensemble were saxophonists Todd Oxford, Eric Nestler, and David Lovrien, along with pianist Pamela Mia Paul. The group quickly gained a following in the local music scene and began performing at various venues throughout Texas. One of the highlights of Tex Sax's early career was their performance at the 1992 World Saxophone Congress in Valencia, Spain. The group's performance was well-received by both the audience and critics, and helped to establish Tex Sax as a rising star in the world of classical music.
