He was the youngest of three siblings and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. His father was a music teacher, and his mother was a pianist. From a young age, Pinto showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Pinto's parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in a music school where he received formal training in piano and music theory. He quickly excelled in his studies and began participating in local music competitions. At the age of 12, Pinto won his first national music competition, which marked the beginning of his successful career as a classical music artist. In 1993, Pinto was accepted into the prestigious Lisbon Conservatory of Music, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Maria João Pires. During his time at the conservatory, Pinto honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. He also began performing in concerts and recitals, which helped him gain recognition as a talented pianist. After graduating from the conservatory, Pinto continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he received a scholarship to study under the tutelage of pianist Christopher Elton. During his time in London, Pinto participated in several music competitions and won numerous awards, including the prestigious Royal Overseas League Music Competition. Pinto's talent and dedication to music soon caught the attention of renowned conductors and orchestras, and he began receiving invitations to perform with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras. In 2001, Pinto made his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. The performance was a huge success, and Pinto received critical acclaim for his virtuosic playing. Over the years, Pinto continued to perform with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the Vienna Philharmonic. He also collaborated with some of the world's most celebrated conductors, including Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, and Zubin Mehta. Pinto's repertoire was vast and included works by some of the greatest composers in history, including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt.
