Zhani Ciko is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the music industry. Born in Albania, Zhani showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Zhani's musical journey began when he enrolled in the National Conservatory of Music in Tirana, Albania. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer, Prof. Gjovalin Lazri. Zhani's dedication and hard work paid off when he won the first prize in the National Piano Competition in Albania at the age of 14. After completing his studies at the National Conservatory of Music, Zhani continued his education at the Academy of Music in Tirana. He received his Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in 2001. During his time at the Academy, Zhani had the opportunity to perform in various concerts and recitals, which helped him gain recognition as a talented pianist. In 2002, Zhani moved to the United States to pursue his Master's degree in Piano Performance at the University of North Texas. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Dr. Pamela Mia Paul. During his time at the University of North Texas, Zhani won several awards and scholarships, including the prestigious Presser Foundation Award. After completing his Master's degree, Zhani continued his education at the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his Doctorate in Piano Performance in 2009. He studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and pedagogue, Anton Nel. During his time at the University of Texas at Austin, Zhani won several awards and scholarships, including the prestigious Butler School of Music Endowed Presidential Scholarship. Zhani's talent and dedication to music have led him to perform in various concerts and recitals around the world. He has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. Zhani has also performed with renowned orchestras such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and the Austin Symphony Orchestra. In addition to his performances, Zhani is also a dedicated teacher and has taught at various institutions, including the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Texas at Arlington. He has also given masterclasses and workshops in various countries, including Albania, Italy, and China. Zhani's dedication and hard work have earned him several awards and recognitions. In 2009, he won the first prize in the Texas Music Teachers Association Collegiate Piano Competition. In 2010, he won the first prize in the Dallas Symphonic Festival Piano Competition. In 2011, he won the first prize in the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition. Zhani's passion for music and his dedication to his craft have made him a respected and admired figure in the music industry. His performances have inspired and touched the hearts of many, and his contributions to the world of classical music will continue to be celebrated for years to come.
