The Elisa String Quartet is a classical music ensemble that has gained international recognition for its exceptional performances and recordings. The founding members of the Elisa String Quartet are violinists Eva and Anna Kozma, violist Péter Bársony, and cellist György Éder. Eva and Anna Kozma are sisters who began playing the violin at a young age and went on to study at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. The Elisa String Quartet takes its name from the Italian word "elisare," which means to purify or refine. One of the highlights of the Elisa String Quartet's career was its performance at the 2014 BBC Proms, where the quartet received critical acclaim for its interpretation of Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14.
