Suzy Delair was a French actress and singer who was born on December 31, 1917, in Paris, France. She was born as Suzanne Pierrette Delaire and was the daughter of a French father and a Polish mother. Her father was a musician who played the violin and the piano, and her mother was a dancer. Delair grew up in a family that was deeply involved in the arts, and she was exposed to music and dance from a very young age. Delair began her career as a dancer in the 1930s, performing in cabarets and music halls in Paris. She quickly gained a reputation as a talented performer and was soon discovered by film producers. In 1937, she made her film debut in the French film "Mademoiselle ma mère."
