The Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Debrecen, Hungary. The orchestra was founded in 1979 by conductor and composer Zoltán Kocsis, who served as its artistic director until 1983. The orchestra was named after Hungarian composer and music educator Zoltán Kodály, who was a major influence on Kocsis and many other Hungarian musicians.
