Sébastien Surel is a French violinist and composer who has made a name for himself in the world of classical music. Born on May 22, 1973, in Paris, France, Surel showed an early interest in music and began playing the violin at the age of six. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he received his diploma in 1994. Surel's career as a professional musician began in 1995 when he joined the Orchestre National de France as a violinist. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the orchestra's concertmaster in 2001. During his time with the Orchestre National de France, Surel performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. In addition to his work with the Orchestre National de France, Surel has also performed as a soloist with many other orchestras around the world. He has collaborated with conductors such as Kurt Masur, Christoph Eschenbach, and Myung-Whun Chung, and has performed with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
