Born on May 22, 1985, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Tchelebiev showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He was quickly recognized as a prodigious talent and began studying with some of Bulgaria's most renowned piano teachers. Tchelebiev's early musical education was heavily influenced by the Russian school of piano playing, which emphasizes technical precision and emotional expression. He studied with Professor Milena Mollova at the National School of Music "Lyubomir Pipkov" in Sofia, where he won numerous awards and competitions. In 2003, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition "Young Virtuosos" in Sofia, which launched his career as a professional pianist. After completing his studies in Bulgaria, Tchelebiev continued his musical education in Germany, where he studied with Professor Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media. Kämmerling was a highly respected pianist and teacher, and Tchelebiev credits him with helping him to refine his technique and develop his musical interpretation skills. Tchelebiev's career as a concert pianist began to take off in the mid-2000s, when he began performing in major concert halls throughout Europe and Asia. He quickly gained a reputation as a dynamic and passionate performer, with a particular talent for interpreting the works of Romantic composers such as Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. One of Tchelebiev's most notable performances was his debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in 2008, where he performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. The performance was widely praised for its technical brilliance and emotional depth, and cemented Tchelebiev's reputation as one of the most exciting young pianists of his generation. In addition to his solo performances, Tchelebiev has also collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. He has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, among others. He has also worked with conductors such as Vladimir Ashkenazy, Valery Gergiev, and Sir Simon Rattle. Tchelebiev's discography includes several critically acclaimed recordings, including his debut album, "Romantic Piano," which features works by Chopin, Liszt, and Schumann. He has also recorded the complete piano works of Rachmaninoff, which was released in 2015 to widespread acclaim. Throughout his career, Tchelebiev has received numerous awards and honors for his musical achievements. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious "Young Artist of the Year" award by the International Classical Music Awards. He has also been awarded the "Bulgarian Musician of the Year" award three times, in 2008, 2010, and 2012. In addition to his performing career, Tchelebiev is also a dedicated teacher and mentor to young musicians.
