Emilia Fadini was born on May 12, 1960, in Venice, Italy. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her father being a pianist and her mother a singer. From a young age, Fadini showed a natural talent for music and began studying the piano at the age of six. Fadini's musical education continued at the Conservatory of Music in Venice, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and composer Bruno Canino. She graduated with honors in 1980 and went on to pursue further studies in Paris with pianist Aldo Ciccolini. In 1982, Fadini made her debut as a soloist with the Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 21. This performance marked the beginning of a successful career as a concert pianist. Throughout her career, Fadini has performed with some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the New York Philharmonic. She has also collaborated with many renowned conductors, such as Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, and Zubin Mehta. Fadini's repertoire is vast and includes works by many of the great composers, including Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of Mozart and Schubert. In addition to her performances as a soloist, Fadini is also an accomplished chamber musician. She has collaborated with many renowned musicians, including violinist Salvatore Accardo and cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Fadini has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career. In 1986, she was awarded the prestigious Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize, which is given to outstanding young pianists. She has also been awarded the Italian National Prize for the Arts and the French Order of Arts and Letters. In addition to her performing career, Fadini is also a respected teacher. She has taught at the Conservatory of Music in Venice and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Many of her students have gone on to successful careers as musicians. Fadini continues to perform regularly and is highly regarded by audiences and critics alike.
