Olga Galochkina is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 12, 1985, in Moscow, Russia, Olga showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Her parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue music as a career. Olga's musical journey began at the Moscow State Conservatory, where she studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and professor, Sergei Dorensky. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2008 and went on to pursue a master's degree in piano performance, which she completed in 2010. During her time at the conservatory, Olga participated in several competitions and won numerous awards. In 2005, she won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Memory of Emil Gilels, held in Odessa, Ukraine. She also won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Memory of Vera Lotar-Shevchenko, held in Moscow in 2006. Olga's talent and hard work paid off when she was awarded the prestigious Vladimir Spivakov Foundation Scholarship in 2007. This scholarship enabled her to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover, Germany, under the guidance of Professor Arie Vardi. Olga's international career began in 2009 when she won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz, held in Kiev, Ukraine. This win opened up new opportunities for her, and she began performing in major concert halls across Europe and Asia. In 2011, Olga made her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York, where she performed a solo recital to critical acclaim. The New York Times praised her performance, stating that "Ms. Galochkina's playing was technically brilliant and emotionally powerful, leaving the audience spellbound." Olga's repertoire includes works by classical composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. She is known for her interpretation of Rachmaninoff's music, which she performs with great passion and sensitivity.
