Born on 12th May 1975 in Edinburgh, Scotland, Rory showed an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the age of six. His parents, both music enthusiasts, encouraged him to pursue his passion for music, and he soon became a prodigious talent. Rory's talent was recognized early on, and he was awarded a scholarship to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London.
