Emilia Giuliani-Guglielmi was a classical music composer born on June 24, 1813, in Italy. She was the daughter of the famous guitarist and composer Mauro Giuliani and his wife, Maria Giuseppe Drago. Emilia grew up in a musical family, and her father was her first music teacher. She learned to play the guitar and the piano at a young age and showed a great talent for music. Emilia's father was a prominent figure in the music world, and he introduced her to many famous musicians and composers. She was exposed to a wide range of musical styles and genres, which influenced her own compositions. Emilia's father also encouraged her to compose her own music, and she began writing pieces for the guitar and piano. In 1833, Emilia married the Italian composer and conductor Francesco Guglielmi. The couple had two children, but unfortunately, Francesco died in 1837, leaving Emilia a widow at the age of 24. Despite this tragedy, Emilia continued to compose music and perform in concerts.
