Born on August 19, 1986, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico, she grew up in a family of musicians. Her father was a pianist, and her mother was a singer, so it was only natural that she would develop a love for music at a young age. Katzarava began her musical training at the age of six, studying piano and singing. She later attended the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City, where she studied under the guidance of renowned soprano Olivia Gorra. During her time at the conservatory, she won several awards and competitions, including the National Singing Competition in Mexico City. After completing her studies at the conservatory, Katzarava moved to Italy to further her training. She studied at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where she worked with renowned soprano Renata Scotto. She also studied at the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, where she worked with soprano Mirella Freni. Katzarava made her professional debut in 2010, performing the role of Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen at the Teatro Regio di Parma in Italy. Her performance was well-received, and she quickly gained a reputation as a rising star in the world of opera. Since then, Katzarava has performed in some of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including the Royal Opera House in London, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
