He was the son of a famous Bulgarian composer, Marin Goleminov, who was also a conductor and a music teacher. Pali Marinov grew up in a musical family and was exposed to classical music from a very young age. He showed a great interest in music and started playing the piano when he was only five years old. Pali Marinov's talent was recognized early on, and he was accepted into the National Music School in Sofia when he was only seven years old. He studied piano and composition at the school and showed exceptional skills in both areas. He continued his studies at the State Academy of Music in Sofia, where he studied under the guidance of some of the most prominent Bulgarian musicians of the time. In 1955, Pali Marinov graduated from the State Academy of Music with a degree in piano performance and composition. He started his career as a concert pianist and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent. He performed in many concerts and recitals in Bulgaria and other countries, including the Soviet Union, Germany, France, and Italy. One of the highlights of Pali Marinov's career was his performance at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1958. He was the first Bulgarian musician to participate in the competition, and he won the third prize in the piano category. This was a significant achievement for Pali Marinov and brought him international recognition as a talented pianist. Pali Marinov continued to perform in concerts and recitals throughout his career and collaborated with many famous musicians and conductors. He also worked as a music teacher and taught at the State Academy of Music in Sofia for many years. He was known for his dedication to music education and for his ability to inspire and motivate his students. In addition to his career as a pianist, Pali Marinov was also a prolific composer. He wrote many works for piano, chamber ensembles, and orchestra, and his music was performed in many concerts and festivals in Bulgaria and other countries.
