Gianni Casagrande was born on May 12, 1985, in Milan, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a renowned pianist and his mother a violinist. From a young age, Gianni showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Gianni's parents recognized his potential and enrolled him in the Milan Conservatory at the age of six. He quickly excelled in his studies and began performing in public at the age of eight. By the time he was a teenager, Gianni had already won several local and national competitions. In 2003, Gianni was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. During his time at Juilliard, Gianni continued to win awards and accolades, including the school's top piano prize. After graduating from Juilliard in 2007, Gianni began performing professionally, both as a soloist and as part of chamber ensembles. He quickly gained a reputation as a virtuoso pianist, known for his technical skill and emotional depth. One of Gianni's most notable performances came in 2010, when he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the New York Philharmonic. The performance was widely praised by critics, who noted Gianni's "dazzling technique" and "sensitive interpretation." In addition to his performances, Gianni has also recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Chopin's complete Nocturnes.
