He was the son of a music teacher and grew up in a family that was passionate about music. From a young age, Boguet showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of five. He quickly became proficient in the instrument and began taking lessons from some of the best teachers in Paris. Boguet's talent was recognized early on, and he was awarded a scholarship to study at the Paris Conservatory of Music. He studied under some of the most renowned music teachers of the time, including Nadia Boulanger and Marcel Dupré. During his time at the conservatory, Boguet honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of classical music. After completing his studies, Boguet began performing in concerts and recitals throughout France. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented pianist and was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious venues in the country. In 1950, he won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Geneva, Switzerland, which further cemented his reputation as a world-class pianist. Boguet's career continued to flourish throughout the 1950s and 1960s. He performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States, and his performances were always well-received by audiences and critics alike. He was known for his technical proficiency and his ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music he played. One of the highlights of Boguet's career was his performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1963.
