Luiz de Aquino was a Brazilian classical music artist who was born on August 15, 1938, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was born into a family of musicians, and his father was a well-known composer and conductor. From a young age, Luiz showed a keen interest in music, and he began studying the piano at the age of six. Luiz's talent for music was evident from an early age, and he quickly became a prodigy. He began performing in public at the age of eight, and by the time he was a teenager, he was already a well-known performer in Brazil. He continued his studies at the National School of Music in Rio de Janeiro, where he studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in Brazil. In 1958, Luiz won first prize in the National Piano Competition in Brazil, which was a major achievement for a young musician. This win opened up many doors for him, and he began performing in concerts all over Brazil. He also began to receive invitations to perform in other countries, and he soon became an international sensation. One of the highlights of Luiz's career was his performance at the Carnegie Hall in New York City in 1962.
