Raminta Šerkšnytė is a Lithuanian composer who was born on August 10, 1975, in Vilnius, Lithuania. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a composer. From a young age, Šerkšnytė showed a keen interest in music and began studying piano and composition at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Art in Vilnius. After completing her studies at the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Art, Šerkšnytė went on to study composition at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Vilnius.
