His father was a renowned pianist, and his mother was a violinist. From a young age, Raymond was exposed to classical music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Raymond's parents recognized his talent and enrolled him in the Conservatoire de Paris at the age of six. He quickly excelled in his studies and began performing in public at the age of eight. By the time he was ten, he had won several local and national competitions. In 1997, Raymond was invited to perform at the International Piano Competition in Moscow, Russia. He was the youngest competitor in the competition, but he impressed the judges with his technical skill and musicality. He was awarded first prize, and his performance was broadcast on national television in Russia. After his success in Moscow, Raymond's career took off. He began performing in major concert halls around the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. He also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic.
