Abdiel González is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on January 1, 1980, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Abdiel showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Abdiel's musical journey began when he enrolled in the Escuela Libre de Música de San Juan, where he studied piano and music theory. He later attended the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. During his time at the conservatory, Abdiel studied under the tutelage of renowned pianists such as Ivonne Higa, Ana María Hernández, and Jesús María Sanromá. After completing his studies, Abdiel moved to the United States to further his education. He enrolled in the University of Miami's Frost School of Music, where he earned a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance. While at the University of Miami, Abdiel studied under the guidance of renowned pianist Santiago Rodriguez. Abdiel's talent and dedication to music have earned him numerous accolades and awards throughout his career. In 2002, he won first prize in the National Piano Competition of Puerto Rico. He was also a finalist in the 2003 International Piano Competition of the Republic of San Marino. In 2004, Abdiel was awarded the prestigious Presser Foundation Scholarship, which allowed him to continue his studies at the University of Miami. Abdiel's career as a classical music artist has been marked by numerous highlights and achievements. He has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. He has also performed with some of the world's leading orchestras, including the New World Symphony, the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, and the Miami Symphony Orchestra. One of Abdiel's most notable performances was his debut recital at Carnegie Hall in 2006. The performance was highly acclaimed by critics and established Abdiel as one of the most promising young pianists of his generation. In 2008, Abdiel was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, where he gave a solo recital that was broadcast live on national television.
