The RAI Orchestra and Chorus, Naples is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences with its exceptional performances for over 70 years. The current conductor of the ensemble is Juraj Valčuha, who has been leading the orchestra and chorus since 2016. One of the highlights of the RAI Orchestra and Chorus, Naples' performances was its participation in the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. The ensemble performed a special arrangement of Giuseppe Verdi's "Nabucco" under the baton of Riccardo Muti, which was broadcast to millions of viewers around the world.
