Born on August 22, 1987, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Tobias grew up in a family of musicians. His father was a professional pianist, and his mother was a singer. Tobias was exposed to music from a young age and started singing in choirs and musicals in his hometown. Tobias attended the University of Utah, where he studied vocal performance and music education. During his time at the university, he performed in several operas and musicals, including "The Marriage of Figaro," "The Magic Flute," and "Les Misérables." Tobias also participated in various vocal competitions and won several awards, including the Utah District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the Utah Vocal Arts Academy Competition.
