Greg Gilpin is a renowned composer, arranger, and conductor of choral music. He was born on December 3, 1958, in the United States. Gilpin grew up in a musical family, and his parents were both music educators. His father was a band director, and his mother was a choir director. Gilpin's love for music began at a young age, and he started playing the piano when he was just five years old. Gilpin attended the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He later went on to earn a Master of Music degree from Emporia State University.
