Johannes Tonio Kreusch is a renowned classical guitarist, composer, and educator. He was born on August 22, 1970, in Frankfurt, Germany. Kreusch grew up in a musical family, and his father was a professional pianist. He started playing the guitar at the age of six and quickly showed exceptional talent. Kreusch received his first guitar lessons from his father and later studied with renowned guitarists such as Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco, and David Russell. Kreusch's talent and dedication to music led him to win numerous awards and competitions. At the age of 14, he won the first prize at the Jugend Musiziert competition in Germany. He went on to win several other competitions, including the International Guitar Competition in Havana, Cuba, and the International Guitar Competition in Paris, France. Kreusch's talent and hard work earned him a scholarship to study at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. He studied with Sharon Isbin, one of the world's leading guitarists, and graduated with a Master of Music degree in 1995. After completing his studies, Kreusch embarked on a successful career as a soloist, chamber musician, and composer. He has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. He has also collaborated with renowned musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman, and Joshua Bell. Kreusch's repertoire includes a wide range of music, from classical to contemporary. He has recorded several albums, including "Bach: The Complete Lute Suites," "Spanish Guitar Music," and "Tango Nuevo." His recordings have received critical acclaim and have been featured on radio and television programs worldwide. In addition to his performing career, Kreusch is also a dedicated educator. He has taught at several prestigious institutions, including the Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music, and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria. He has also conducted masterclasses and workshops around the world, inspiring and mentoring young musicians. Kreusch's contributions to the world of classical music have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. In 2001, he was awarded the Echo Klassik Award for his album "Spanish Guitar Music." He has also received the German Record Critics' Award, the Diapason d'Or, and the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik.
