Luigi Cozzolino was born on May 12, 1985, in Naples, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Cozzolino showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Cozzolino's parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue a career in music. He began taking piano lessons with renowned pianist and composer, Antonio Di Cristofano, at the age of six. Under Di Cristofano's guidance, Cozzolino developed his skills and began performing in public at the age of eight. Cozzolino's talent was quickly recognized, and he began winning awards and competitions. At the age of ten, he won first prize in the National Piano Competition in Naples. He went on to win several other competitions, including the International Piano Competition in Rome and the International Piano Competition in Paris. Cozzolino's success continued throughout his teenage years. He performed in concerts throughout Italy and Europe, and his performances were praised for their technical skill and emotional depth. In 2003, he was invited to perform at the prestigious La Scala opera house in Milan, where he received a standing ovation. In 2005, Cozzolino was awarded a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. He moved to the United States and began studying with renowned pianist and teacher, Emanuel Ax. Cozzolino's time at Juilliard was a period of intense growth and development. He was exposed to new styles of music and worked with some of the most talented musicians in the world. After graduating from Juilliard in 2009, Cozzolino began performing professionally. He quickly established himself as one of the most talented pianists of his generation. In 2012, Cozzolino was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The performance was a major success, and Cozzolino received a standing ovation.
