The founding members of Marylebone Camerata are violinist and artistic director, David Juritz, cellist, Richard Harwood, and pianist, John Lenehan. David Juritz, who is also the founder of the London Mozart Players, has performed as a soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Richard Harwood has performed as a soloist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. John Lenehan has performed as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, and the London Mozart Players, among others. The ensemble's name, Marylebone Camerata, is derived from the area of London where the group was founded. Marylebone is a vibrant and culturally rich neighborhood in central London that is home to many artists and musicians. Since its founding, Marylebone Camerata has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Wigmore Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and the Shanghai Oriental Art Center in China. The ensemble has also performed at numerous festivals, including the Bath Mozartfest, the Cheltenham Music Festival, and the Oxford Lieder Festival. One of the highlights of Marylebone Camerata's career was their performance at the 2016 Bath Mozartfest. The ensemble performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major, K. 488, with John Lenehan as the soloist. The performance was met with critical acclaim, with The Guardian describing it as "a performance of great beauty and sensitivity." In addition to their performances, Marylebone Camerata has also received numerous awards and accolades for their work.
