She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Kathleen showed a natural talent for music and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. As Kathleen grew older, she became more interested in classical music and began studying the violin. She quickly excelled at the instrument and began performing in local orchestras and competitions. At the age of 12, Kathleen won first place in the New York State Music Teachers Association competition, which was a major milestone in her career. After graduating from high school, Kathleen attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied under the renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. During her time at Juilliard, Kathleen continued to win awards and accolades for her performances, including the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2009. Kathleen's career as a professional musician began to take off after she graduated from Juilliard. She began performing with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the London Symphony Orchestra. She also began to make a name for herself as a soloist, performing in major concert halls around the world. One of Kathleen's most memorable performances was at the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway. She was invited to perform alongside artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Seal, and Ne-Yo, and her performance was widely praised for its beauty and emotional depth. In addition to her performances, Kathleen has also recorded several albums, including a critically acclaimed recording of Beethoven's violin sonatas with pianist Yefim Bronfman. She has also collaborated with a number of other musicians, including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Lang Lang.
