Zane Zilberte is a Latvian classical music artist who has made a name for herself as a pianist and chamber musician. Born on May 22, 1989, in Riga, Latvia, Zane showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. She quickly demonstrated a natural talent for the instrument and began taking lessons with some of the best teachers in Latvia. As a child, Zane participated in numerous competitions and festivals, winning many awards and accolades along the way. Her talent and dedication to music were evident from an early age, and she quickly became known as one of the most promising young pianists in Latvia. In 2007, Zane was accepted into the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she studied under the guidance of Professor Arnis Zandmanis. During her time at the academy, Zane continued to excel in her studies and was awarded numerous scholarships and prizes for her outstanding performances. After graduating from the academy in 2011, Zane continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany, where she studied under the renowned pianist and pedagogue Evgeni Koroliov. During her time in Hamburg, Zane honed her skills as a pianist and chamber musician, and her performances were met with critical acclaim. In 2013, Zane was awarded the prestigious DAAD scholarship, which allowed her to continue her studies in Germany. She also won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Rome, Italy, and was a finalist in the International Piano Competition in Santander, Spain. Zane's career as a professional musician began to take off in 2014, when she won the first prize at the International Piano Competition in Valencia, Spain. This victory brought her to the attention of the international music community, and she began to receive invitations to perform at major festivals and concert halls around the world. Since then, Zane has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. She has also performed in Asia and the United States, and has collaborated with some of the world's leading orchestras and conductors. In addition to her work as a soloist, Zane is also an accomplished chamber musician. In addition to the prizes she won as a student, she has been awarded the Latvian Great Music Award, the Riga Great Music Award, and the Latvian National Culture Award.
