Born on May 22, 1987, in Riga, Latvia, Marnauza showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. Marnauza's early musical education was at the Emīls Dārziņš Music School in Riga, where she studied under the guidance of renowned Latvian pianist and pedagogue, Arnis Zandmanis. She later continued her studies at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. During her studies, Marnauza participated in numerous national and international competitions, winning several awards and prizes.
