Sarah O'Boyle was born on May 15, 1985, in Dublin, Ireland. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a violinist. From a young age, Sarah showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. She later started playing the violin and the cello, and by the age of ten, she had already performed in several concerts. Sarah's parents recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. She attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, where she studied under some of the best music teachers in the country. She excelled in her studies and was soon recognized as one of the most promising young musicians in Ireland. In 2003, Sarah won the prestigious Young Musician of the Year award in Ireland, which brought her to the attention of music critics and audiences around the world. She was invited to perform at several international music festivals, including the Edinburgh International Festival and the Salzburg Festival. Sarah's talent and hard work paid off, and she was soon offered a scholarship to study at the Juilliard School in New York City. She moved to the United States in 2004 and began studying under the renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. She also studied chamber music with the Juilliard String Quartet and the Guarneri Quartet. While at Juilliard, Sarah continued to perform in concerts and music festivals around the world. She won several awards, including the Juilliard Concerto Competition and the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis. She also performed as a soloist with several major orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2008, Sarah graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Music degree. She then went on to pursue a Master of Music degree at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. While at Curtis, she studied under the renowned violinist Jaime Laredo and continued to perform in concerts and music festivals around the world. After graduating from Curtis in 2010, Sarah began her professional career as a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonic. She has also collaborated with some of the world's most renowned musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, and Lang Lang. Sarah's repertoire includes a wide range of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. She has also premiered several new works by contemporary composers, including John Adams and Philip Glass. In addition to her performing career, Sarah is also a dedicated music educator. She has taught at several music schools and universities around the world, including the Royal Irish Academy of Music, the Juilliard School, and the Curtis Institute of Music. She is passionate about sharing her love of music with young musicians and inspiring the next generation of classical musicians.
