Fausto Caporali was born on May 12, 1985, in Florence, Italy. He grew up in a family of musicians, with his father being a pianist and his mother a singer. From a young age, Caporali showed a natural talent for music, and he began studying the piano at the age of six. Caporali's early years were spent studying classical piano, and he quickly became known for his technical skill and musicality. He won his first competition at the age of nine, and by the time he was a teenager, he had already performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in Italy. In 2003, Caporali was accepted into the Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini in Florence, where he studied under the guidance of renowned pianist and teacher, Andrea Lucchesini. During his time at the conservatory, Caporali continued to excel, winning numerous awards and competitions, including the prestigious Premio Venezia in 2006. After graduating from the conservatory in 2007, Caporali began to establish himself as a soloist, performing in concerts and festivals throughout Italy and Europe. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most exciting young pianists of his generation, known for his virtuosity and his ability to bring out the emotional depth of the music he played. In 2010, Caporali made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, one of the most famous opera houses in the world. He performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Filarmonica della Scala, under the baton of conductor Riccardo Chailly. The performance was a huge success, and Caporali was praised for his sensitive interpretation of the concerto. Over the next few years, Caporali continued to perform in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Albert Hall in London, and Carnegie Hall in New York. He also began to record extensively, releasing several critically acclaimed albums of solo piano music. In 2015, Caporali was awarded the Premio Abbiati, one of the most prestigious awards in Italian classical music. The award recognized his outstanding contributions to the world of classical music, and cemented his reputation as one of the most important pianists of his generation. Today, Caporali continues to perform and record, and he is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative pianists of his time. His performances are characterized by a deep emotional intensity and a technical virtuosity that is unmatched by many of his peers.
