The Soloists of La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra is a renowned classical music ensemble that has been captivating audiences around the world for over three decades. Founded in 1982, the ensemble is made up of some of the most talented musicians from the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world's most prestigious orchestras. The idea for the Soloists of La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra was born out of a desire to showcase the individual talents of the orchestra's members. The ensemble's founding members, including violinist Salvatore Accardo, cellist Rocco Filippini, and pianist Bruno Canino, believed that by performing as a smaller group, they could bring a new level of intimacy and expressiveness to their music. Since its inception, the Soloists of La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra has become known for its exceptional performances of both classical and contemporary music. The ensemble has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned conductors, including Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, and Daniel Barenboim, and has performed in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Royal Albert Hall in London. One of the highlights of the Soloists of La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra's career was their performance at the 1990 Salzburg Festival, where they received a standing ovation for their rendition of Beethoven's Triple Concerto. The ensemble has also been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Italian music award, the Premio Abbiati, in 1991. The Soloists of La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra's current members include violinists Gabriele Pieranunzi and Francesco Manara, violist Danilo Rossi, cellist Enrico Fagone, and pianist Andrea Lucchesini. Each member brings their own unique style and interpretation to the ensemble, creating a dynamic and captivating performance. In addition to their performances as a group, the members of the Soloists of La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra are also accomplished soloists in their own right. Violinist Gabriele Pieranunzi has performed with some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic, while violist Danilo Rossi has been a member of the prestigious Quartetto di Cremona since 2000.
