At Curtis, Robin continued to excel as a musician. She studied under some of the most renowned music teachers in the world, including Leon Fleisher and Gary Graffman. She also had the opportunity to perform with some of the best orchestras in the world, including the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. Robin's talent as a pianist and composer was recognized early on in her career. She won numerous awards and accolades, including the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1997. She was the first woman to win the competition in over a decade, and her performance was hailed as one of the best in the history of the competition. After winning the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Robin's career took off. She was invited to perform at some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London. She also performed with some of the best orchestras in the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra. Robin's talent as a composer was also recognized during this time. She composed several pieces for piano and orchestra, which were performed by some of the best orchestras in the world.
