Some of her most notable performances include the role of Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the role of Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Glimmerglass Festival, and the role of Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata at the Virginia Opera. Borkowski has also received numerous awards and accolades for her performances. In 2012, she was a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, one of the most prestigious vocal competitions in the world. She has also been a recipient of the Richard Tucker Career Grant, which is awarded to promising young opera singers. In addition to her performing career, Borkowski is also a dedicated teacher. She has taught voice at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is also a faculty member at the International Vocal Arts Institute, where she teaches young singers from around the world.
