Kortrijks Gemengd Koor, also known as the Kortrijk Mixed Choir, is a classical music ensemble based in the city of Kortrijk, Belgium. The choir was founded in 1945 by a group of music enthusiasts who wanted to create a platform for choral music in the city. Since then, the choir has grown in size and reputation, becoming one of the most respected choral ensembles in Belgium. The Kortrijk Mixed Choir is made up of around 70 members, both male and female, who come from all walks of life. The choir is led by conductor Geert Soenen, who has been with the ensemble since 2005. Soenen is a highly respected choral conductor in Belgium, having worked with a number of other choirs and orchestras throughout his career.
