Role:ConductorMikk Murdvee is a renowned classical music artist from Estonia. He was born on August 22, 1981, in Tallinn, Estonia. From a young age, Mikk showed a keen interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of six. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Mikk's musical education began at the Tallinn Music High School, where he studied piano under the guidance of Professor Lilian Semper. He later went on to study at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. During his studies, Mikk also had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Boris Berman, Paul Badura-Skoda, and Andrzej Jasinski. Mikk's talent and dedication to his craft quickly became evident, and he began to receive recognition for his performances. In 2003, he won first prize at the Estonian National Piano Competition, and in 2004, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition in Tallinn. These early successes paved the way for Mikk's career as a professional pianist. Over the years, Mikk has performed extensively both in Estonia and abroad. He has given solo recitals in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Konzerthaus in Vienna, and the Salle Cortot in Paris. He has also performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra. Mikk's repertoire is diverse and includes works by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. He is particularly known for his interpretations of the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, and has been praised for his ability to capture the emotional depth and complexity of Rachmaninoff's music.
