William Chen is a renowned classical music artist who has made a significant impact in the world of music. Born on May 15, 1985, in Taipei, Taiwan, Chen showed an early interest in music and began playing the piano at the age of five. His parents recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Chen's early years were spent studying music at the National Taiwan Normal University, where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. He then went on to pursue his Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the tutelage of renowned pianist Emanuel Ax. In 2007, he won first prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, and in 2008, he was awarded the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant.
