Roxy King was born on May 15, 1985, in New York City. She grew up in a family of musicians, with her mother being a pianist and her father a cellist. From a young age, Roxy showed a natural talent for music and began playing the piano at the age of four. Her parents recognized her potential and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. Roxy attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where she studied piano performance under the guidance of renowned pianist, Martha Argerich. During her time at Juilliard, Roxy won several awards and competitions, including the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005. After graduating from Juilliard, Roxy began performing professionally and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented pianists of her generation. She made her debut with the New York Philharmonic in 2007, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, "Emperor."
