I Giocatori Piano Trio is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 2009. The trio consists of three members: violinist Rebecca Huber, cellist Erin Breene, and pianist David Breitman. The ensemble has gained recognition for their dynamic performances and unique interpretations of classical music. The founding of I Giocatori Piano Trio began with a shared passion for chamber music. Rebecca Huber and Erin Breene met while studying at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. They quickly discovered a mutual love for chamber music and began performing together as a duo. In 2009, they were joined by pianist David Breitman, who had previously performed with both Huber and Breene in various chamber music settings. The trio's name, I Giocatori, is Italian for "the players." The name reflects the ensemble's commitment to the art of playing music and their dedication to bringing classical music to audiences around the world. Since their founding, I Giocatori Piano Trio has performed at numerous venues across the United States and Europe. They have been featured at prestigious music festivals such as the Newport Music Festival, the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, and the Festival de Musique de Chambre de Montréal. One of the highlights of the trio's career was their performance at the 2012 Chamber Music America Conference in New York City. The conference is a gathering of some of the most talented chamber musicians in the world, and I Giocatori Piano Trio was honored to be selected to perform. In addition to their live performances, I Giocatori Piano Trio has also released several recordings. Their debut album, "Beethoven: Piano Trios," was released in 2011 to critical acclaim. The album features the trio's unique interpretation of Beethoven's piano trios, showcasing their technical skill and musical sensitivity. I Giocatori Piano Trio has also been recognized for their contributions to the world of classical music. In 2013, they were awarded the Chamber Music America Residency Partnership Grant. Another notable achievement for the trio was their selection as finalists in the 2014 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.
