Quatuor à cordes Bel Arte is a classical music ensemble that was founded in 1994 in Brussels, Belgium. The ensemble is made up of four members, each of whom is a highly skilled musician with a passion for chamber music. The members of the ensemble are violinists Véronique Bogaerts and Nicolas Dupont, violist Alain Rochette, and cellist Ariane Vanasse. The founding of Quatuor à cordes Bel Arte was the result of a shared love of chamber music among the four musicians. They had all played together in various ensembles and orchestras, but they wanted to create a group that would allow them to focus exclusively on the rich and complex repertoire of string quartets. They named their ensemble after the Italian phrase "bel arte," which means "beautiful art," reflecting their commitment to creating beautiful and meaningful music.
