Born in Hong Kong in 1992, Wong began playing the piano at the age of three and showed exceptional talent from an early age. He studied with renowned pianists such as Gabriel Kwok and Fou Ts'ong, and later attended the Juilliard School in New York City, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance. Wong's career as a concert pianist began to take off in his early twenties, when he won several prestigious competitions, including the 2015 Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and the 2017 Jose Iturbi International Music Competition. These victories brought him to the attention of music critics and audiences around the world, who were impressed by his technical prowess and musicality. Since then, Wong has performed in some of the world's most renowned concert halls, including Carnegie Hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. He has collaborated with leading orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, and has worked with conductors such as Jaap van Zweden, Vladimir Ashkenazy, and Leonard Slatkin. Wong's repertoire is wide-ranging and includes works by composers from the Baroque era to the present day. His dedication to his craft and his passion for music have made him one of the most exciting young pianists of his generation, and he is sure to continue to inspire audiences around the world for many years to come.More....
