Born on May 14, 1988, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Sierra grew up in a family of musicians. Her mother was a pianist, and her father was a jazz musician. From a young age, Sierra showed a keen interest in music and began singing in her church choir. Sierra's talent was soon recognized, and she began taking voice lessons with Marilyn Mims, a renowned vocal coach. She also attended the Young Artist Vocal Program at the Palm Beach Opera, where she received further training.
