Abdel grew up surrounded by music and began playing the oud at a young age. He showed a natural talent for the instrument and quickly became a skilled player. Abdel's father recognized his son's talent and began teaching him the oud. He also encouraged Abdel to study music formally, and he enrolled him in the Damascus Conservatory of Music. There, Abdel studied under some of the most renowned oud players in the country and honed his skills. After completing his studies at the conservatory, Abdel began performing professionally. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the most talented oud players in Syria and began performing at major events and festivals throughout the country. In 2005, Abdel was invited to perform at the Damascus Opera House, one of the most prestigious venues in the country. His performance was a huge success, and he received critical acclaim for his skill and artistry. This performance marked the beginning of Abdel's international career. Over the next few years, Abdel continued to perform at major events and festivals throughout the Middle East.
